She has a knack for telling stories that will captivate our player characters as they embark on a risky journey. She not only controls the plot but also shows off her dramatic skills playing numerous non-player characters (NPCs) throughout the campaign.. Brace yourself for her to craft a story that will enchant you.
Before DesiQuest, Jasmine was the mind behind DnDBeyond’s Battle 4 Beyond and Dimension 20’s Coffin Run. She is also a worldbuilder on Critical Role’s Marquet setting and Into the Motherlands.
Anjali Bhimani as Sitara (Druid): Anjali plays the role of Sitara, a Vollywood film star with amazing abilities. Sitara can change her look in a flash and talk mind-to-mind. She seems to have a fabulous life, married to a wealthy and influential producer named Rocky, and enjoying all the benefits of fame with ease. However put together on the outside she looks, on the inside, her heart is breaking. Along the journey Sitara uncovers the truth about those closest to her and must decide what’s truly worth fighting for.
Anjali Bhimani can be seen as Auntie Ruby in Ms. Marvel on Disney+, and is known in the video game world as the voice of Rampart in Apex Legends and Symmetra in Overwatch, among others. She has also appeared in other live gameplay series such as Candela Obscura and Exandria Unlimited by Critical Role Studios, and is the bestselling author of I Am Fun Size and So Are YOU!
Sandeep Parikh as Ash (Cleric): Sandeep plays the part of Ashwathama “Ash” Aswinikumar, a Cleric with ties to Vehaar. He’s grown up overseas, but he can’t shake the feeling that part of him is missing in being away from his native home and is drawn back by a mysterious vision. He even has a Varanas tail named Poonch as a sign of his origins. Additionally, Ash is struggling as even though he’s followed a path of medicine for his family, they don’t accept the woman he’s in love with because she’s not Vehaarian, and Ash’s young son is caught in the middle.
You may have seen Sandeep’s face or heard his voice on The Guild, Community, Californication & Glitch Techs, or enjoyed his directing work in The Legend of Neil or the interactive series That Moment When.
Rekha Shankar as Laddoo Auntie (Barbarian): Rekha’s character, Laddoo Auntie, is a force to be reckoned with. She’s your typical strict auntie with a heart of gold who also happens to be a great home cook. Although she has no children of her own, her heart shines through in the way she parents everyone around her, including her niece Sitara, who she would literally die for. Laddoo Auntie embarks on this adventure hoping to keep everyone out of danger but along the way realizes a purpose beyond her imagination. Her character promises a mix of humor, warmth, and a pinch of warrior spirit.
Rekha Shankar has written for Grand Crew (NBC) and Digman (Comedy Central) and in various movies and TV and videos (Between Two Ferns: The Movie, Hacks, CollegeHumor, Aunty Donna’s House of Fun).
Omar Najam as Murkha (Artificer): Omar brings the eccentric brilliance of Murkha Anajan who’s essentially like an engineer, to life. Armed with his Artificer skills his passion lies in taking mechanical items and a little bit of magic and mixing them with infusions and having creations that do things. The gregarious inventor roams the land with his robotic red panda son, Buccha in search of adventure and a chance to be helpful to those in need.
Omar Najam is a writer, director, improviser, ttrpg player and overall huge nerd. Co-host of the American Born Chatty Desis podcast, he has played an unseelie prince in Dimension 20’s A Court of Fey and Flowers and a grumpy bird man on the Critical Role: Tears of the Kingdom Zelda one shot.
