Propaganda and Brainwashing at Work
I’m not quite sure if we should laugh or cry. Perhaps the most goofiest, loopy and drug-filled rant was captured on video by Krishnan Jayaraman at a Taco Bell in Fremont, California.
An Indian American Sikh man identified as Singh Tejinder, otherwise known as Tejinder Singh from Union City, California has been charged with a hate crime against another Indian American, perhaps the first of its kind in United States history. In a video recording of the incident, Singh is seen unloading himself onto another customer, identified as Krishnan Jayaraman, who was there to pick up food for his son.
Tejinder Singh is seen mocking Jayaraman for ordering ‘bean burritos’ calling him a ‘dirty Hindu’ and mocking his vegetarian diet. Singh also went on an incoherent and inaccurate tirade about Hindus ‘bowing down’ to the British East India Company which led to 200 years of British Rule. Although this statement can proven incorrect through a simple history search, Tejinder Singh’s absolute confidence in this misguided and hateful statement shows a growing problem in extremism which has been brewing in certain areas of central California for quiet some time — the same type of extremism and language which has led to terrorist attacks such as as the bombing of Air India flight 182.
It’s high time communities take a deep look at themselves and take a look at the language and tribal ideologies that have led to these situations in the past in order to avoid similar events in the future.
